The 10 Best Islands In Maldives For Vacation (Must Look at The 7th One)

Spread the love

Islands in Maldives are famous for vacations or honeymoons. Maldives, a string of islands off the southeastern coast of Asia, is a tourist’s dream. There are 26 oval-shaped atolls and more than 1192 coral islands, but only 187 have people living on them.

None of the islands in Maldives is higher than 1.8 meters (6 feet) above sea level. Because of the barrier reefs, the islands are safe from the monsoons’ wrath.

There are three types of Islands in Maldives

Inhabited Islands in Maldives

Those that the government recognizes as permanent human settlements in villages, towns, fishing, and farming communities.

Uninhabited Islands in Maldives

Islands without a permanent population. They are occasionally used for industrial and agricultural reasons. Recently, they’ve been used as tourist resorts and picnic islands.

Disappeared Islands in Maldives

Islands that were once there are no longer because of erosion, rising sea levels, or being taken over by other islands.

I’ve provided information on the loveliest islands in the Maldives.
